Kevin McLeod Appointed by Board of Directors
Kevin McLeod, 45, who has served as interim Executive Director of Carolina Meadows during the illness and since the death of Rob Boening, on January 25 was appointed by the Board of Directors to be the permanent Executive Director.
Kevin earned a degree in geology at UNC-Chapel Hill in 1984, worked for an engineering firm in Raleigh, and took graduate work in business and accounting at NC State, and emerged as a Certified Public Accountant.
He was Chief Financial Officer at the Friends Home, a CCRC in Greensboro, until 1998 when he became CFO at Carolina Meadows. In that role, he worked closely with Rob Boening and the Board in the development of the expansion plans scheduled for completion this year.
Aside from overseeing the construction work still ahead, he was assigned by the Board to find a new Chief Financial Officer who will work within the philosophy and the culture of Carolina Meadows. “We have a unique group of employees, “ he said. “I am excited about moving forward the Board’s strategic plans and continuing to earn the trust of the Board and the residents.”
