FAQs
What makes Carolina Meadows different from other CCRC’s in the area?
One of the differences is the way our dining program works. You don't have to have a meal here every day. You simply spend a minimum dollar amount in the Dining Room, which can be paid monthly, quarterly, or semi-annually. Secondly, we are a more resident-driven community than most, with residents playing a large role in how things run around here. Third, our Equity Advantage program which returns a significant portion of the entry fee to the resident, should they leave the community for any reason. And lastly, it's a family atmosphere here, both neighbor-to-neighbor and resident-to-staff. The people in the community tend to have a high appreciation for one another.Who owns Carolina Meadows?
Carolina Meadows is not owned by a private company, person or stockholders. We are incorporated with a volunteer board of directors comprised of esteemed professionals from around the Chapel Hill area as well as residents; occasionally some of the board members are also members of our Wait List. This allows us to make decisions for our community based ONLY on what's best for our residents. What's the difference between a Profit and Non-Profit community?
Both are businesses. The difference between a profit and not-for-profit is that all monies earned by Carolina Meadows go back to the betterment of our community.Where are you located?
We are located on the southern outskirts of Chapel Hill on a 167-acre site. How can I apply for residence?
