Can I Afford It?
When you apply to Carolina Meadows we do a careful screening of your individual finances using an actuarial model. We understand that each person’s financial picture is unique, so we analyze each one carefully. If you’d like to have some idea as to whether you qualify for Carolina Meadows from a financial perspective, here’s a general rule of thumb: Keeping in mind that the financial requirements are unique to each individual (example: Someone moving into Carolina Meadows at age 55 may require a higher asset base than someone moving at 80)
Your total assets should be at least three times the cost of the home you wish to move to at Carolina Meadows.
Our homes currently range in price from $112,000 to $430,000.
Your income (from Social Security and your pension, etc) should be at least two times the cost of our monthly service fee. Income from assets should not be included in this number.
Our monthly service fees are currently $1,990 per month for a single occupancy, and $2,590 for a double occupancy.
